How do you make your personal brand stand out?
If you're a freelancer, one-woman/man show or the 'face' of your business, your personal brand is everything! I love the saying 'People buy from people', and it's so true, it's about creating that likeability factor, trust and professonalism.
But the world is busy, and so in order to stand out from the crowd, try to see your personal brand as a tool and a way to create a unique image and reputation, establishing yourself as an expert in your field.
Here are some hot tips:
Define your niche: Identify your unique strengths and expertise, and determine what sets you apart from others in your field.
Develop a consistent online presence: Make sure your social media profiles, website, and any other online presence are consistent and professional.
Create valuable content: Share your knowledge and expertise through blog posts, videos, social media, and other platforms.
Network with others in your industry: Attend conferences, join professional organisations, and connect with others in your field.
Be authentic: Your personal brand should be a reflection of who you are, so be true to yourself and your values.
Continuously improve: Keep learning and growing in your field, and seek feedback from others to identify areas for improvement.
But "It's hard to read the label when you're inside the jam jar"! I love working with women on their personal brand and I recently had the pleasure of working with Natasha Thakur, CEO & Founder of Emizio, a tech start-up:
"I worked with Natalie at a stage in my journey where I was in need of some guidance and structure of how to approach my own story and how to begin speaking about this publicly. Natalie was super professional and friendly throughout the process. The session was very productive, it has given me a lot of food for thought! I would definitely recommend Natalie and look forward to working with her again."
